Metal???????? Why is it that so many people hate metal when they have never even heard any. Everyone i know who's ever hated metal has ended up loving it after they listen to some good metal bands a couple of times. are people just too afraid to listen to heavy music? More people should just give it a chance.

What metal should I use for a quarter pipe frame? I am building a small quarterpipe for a shop class project. I am wondering what kind of metal would be the best to use for the frame work. I would use wood but our shop teacher will only let us use metal becuase I am not in the woodworking class. This is going to be outside too so any suggestions on the paint to waterproof it? Any suggestions on the type of metal to use?

What metal do you use to make a magnetic dry-erase board? My daughter wants to panel one of the walls of her room with a sheet of metal that she can put magnets on and write across with dry-erase markers. What kind of metal should I use? It needs to be magnetic and the color of steel (silver). I've heard you need to use Galvanized steel, but I wasn't sure. Also, do you know where I could buy a sheet of the metal, not in bulk?

What kind of metal should I use for stamping? I make jewelry and wanted to get into metal stamping. I finally found some ABC stamps. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a metal soft enough to stamp into. I bought a sheet of flashing and some hollow punches. I have punched a few circles, which takes some time, and I seem to not have a problem with stamping into it, but I would like to find some that are either already cut or softer. What metal to use for an outdoor bench frame? i to buy some metal tubing for an outdoor bench im currently making but im not sure what type of metal sqecifically i should use. any suggestions would be great, it needs to be rust proof and corrosion resistant im also on a budget and live in the UK if you have any suggestions. ive just looked at some alluminium tubing and there seems to be to thicknesses 16 swg and 10 swg. 10 swg is thicker but would the 16 swg still be strong enough as it is cheaper.

How do you make wood look like brushed metal? Is there a paint technique to make wood look like brushed metal? Like a brushed steel or nickel look. I have wooden knobs and pulls that i want to paint to look like a brushed metal. i can't afford to buy actual brushed metal knobs and pulls so need to find a way to make wood look like that. Also i already have metal fan blades that are painted bright yellow, i want them to be the same effect of the brushed metal look is there a technique to do this look or a product that i can use to give everything that effect? Is it possible to repair a metal bed - and is it worth it? I have a kind size Victorian style metal bed with a central metal strut with 2 extra legs down the middle. Because of a lot of action (not what you think!) the middle strut has twisted and the legs bent. I tried to bend it all back but it just keeps happening and this causes all the wooden slats to pop out of their holders and the mattress fall down.
