How is biomedical engineering for a major if you want to go to a medical school? I will be going to college next fall, and I 'm interested in biomedical engineering because I want to be better prepared to get into a medical school. I was wondering... 1. What kind of courses you take if you major in biomedical engineering? 2. Also, do I need to apply to a engineering college in a university to take a biomedical engineering major? Or can I apply to a science&arts college? 3. How is it compared to a biology or biochemistry major? Is biomedical engineering a lot harder?
Is the course work of electrical engineering and computer engineering almost same? Is the course work of electrical engineering and computer engineering almost same? I mean like the classes one should take in electrical engineering and computer engineering are same? And what is the difference between computer science and computer engineering? What is the perception of US engineering students by top business schools in Europe? I'm planning on applying to a top MBA program in Europe, focusing on entrepreneurship. I have a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and finishing up my MS from the University of Notre Dame while working full time in an aerospace company and doing research for the university. My engineering work experience extends from project engineer, lead designer to systems engineer. (2+ yrs) My biggest concern is the lack of finance, accounting, marketing, and management experience. What is the perception of US engineering students by top business schools in Europe? With my background (2-3 yrs experience), is it easier to get into a top MBA program in Europe or in the US?
What is the Difference between Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology? The question is basically what I wanted to know. When I transfer in two years from a community college I wanted to go into Electrical Engineering but there is another major which is Electrical Engineering Technology. Then I wanted to ask: Does it have different path or classes that you have to take? Then, will the same transfer program work for both of them?(this one might be a dugh question but I still want to know)And then What is the difference between the Electrical Engineering Bachelor and the Electrical Engineering Technology.
What is the engineering field that refers to artilary, missiles, and the systems that enable them? Does anyone know what the actual field is, or if there is a field for any of aforementioned types of projectiles. I want to go in to engineering, and im especially interested in the above fields. I also am considering trying to enter in to the engineer corps, and would love to work with sorts of artilary engineering. If anyone could help, that'd be incredibly kind. Im not even kidding, I was just watching Futureweapons today which got me asking the quesiton. I originally felt that aeronautical engineering was the correct path for such, but ballistics sounds good too. Is that an actual major? As a matter of fact Sandy, I'm planning on going in to the ROTC through college too. I guess I am a 'warwhore' as you so kindly put it. I would rather call myself a Patriot -something you are obviously not. However, is ballistics a sub-division of Mechanical? Thanks.
Engineering? I am in High school and I am taking all regular classes and a 4 year pre-engineering high school class. I was wondering if I could get any advice from engineers on what they do, how much they make, how to prepare, etc.
What is the best engineering field to go into ? I am most interested in civil engineering, but I keep hearing how there is too many of them and they have a hard time getting a good job with decent pay. I am also interested in software engineering. Money is really important to me as well, so what do you think is the best engineering field to go into (for now and the future), thanks for your time.

What is the best discipline to study Biomedical Engineering through? I want to study Biomedical Engineering. My local university does not offer a Biomedical undergrad but rather offers 4 disciplines with a biomedical specialization; chemical engineering - biomedical, civil engineering - biomedical, electrical engineering - biomedical, and mechanical engineering - biomedical. Any suggestions as to what is best? By the way, I feel it is worth mentioning I scored very high on structual visulization on an apptitude test so it has been recommended that I go into a field where I would consistently work in 3 dimensions. Thanks for any help you can offer.
What can I do to prepare myself to become an engineering major? I am planning to become an engineer and I will be majoring in electrical engineering but I want to do all I can to be prepared. What career incorporates both mechanical and electrical engineering and maybe some computer science? I'm a Junior in High School and I'm thinking about college. My dad wants me to do something with mechanical engineering, but electrical/electronics engineering sounds a little more interesting to me. Also, I am taking a computer programming class in school and I like it too and am very good at it. So I would like to know if there are any careers at there which include all these fields or somewhat.
What cities are known for mechanical engineering opportunities? My fiance and I would like to get married within the next year, but I'm planning on going to graduate school so I need to apply to schools in cities with ample mechanical engineering opportunities so that my future husband, a mechanical engineering major, will be likely to get job offers in the same city. He seems to think that engineers can get jobs anywhere, but I'd still like narrow my search of grad schools for those in cities with ample opportunities for him.
