1. Well i probably won't win any contest here but the actual man hours spent on cnc work is nearly as long as the old way the difference is its all preconcieved and very optimized from the program out to the piece. The tool choice ,stock choice and first operation though is critical well for that matter the heirarchy of all steps is critical .. Once the program is written the absolute best thing though is that it will make a lot of the same thing without griping thats its Saturday, or complaineng about the heat or that they need to leave for a Doctors appointment...Cnc Or 6 axis is pretty much the norm in many shops now and the days of a guy with a big old south bend is just about gone...From the E....


2. Increase the Spindle Speed (RPM) and decrease the amount of material being removed by 10%. The Faster Spindle Spee, and the decreased removal, should speed up the job.
