My stainless steel pan cracked; what should I replace it with?

I bought a stainless steel set about 3 years ago; it was on sale and wasn't teflon ( I hate that stuff). It's been awesome but now one saucepan has cracks from the base to the top. What could have caused this? The dishwasher maybe? Anyway, what should I buy next time around? Think maybe my stuff is just a freak ocurrence and stainless would be OK to buy again?

  1. try the faberware accents from target

  2. I've had SS for years and never had it crack, and I put it in teh DW and heat it up dry before adding oil/food to it.

Check w/ the manufacturer. They may replace it for you free. Otherwise, I think SS is probably safe to go w/ again.

Avoid QVC's line of "Cook's Essentials." They suck.

  3. We love to cook and the best pan we've ever bought is the brand Swiss Diamond.

They can be expensive but if you are into cooking, they are a must-have in the kitchen.
