My family member could die if Hackers cut off electricity. How can they be stopped?

As a former Nurse, I know ill personsand babies on Oxygen will die because of stupid hackers if they carry out plans. How will they be punished?

1. You could also die if someone is texting and driving at the same time or if you get struck by lightning. What's your point?


2. You don't need to be a nurse to know that. And stopping hackers is next to impossible. They get around the latest technology almost as quickly as it's improved in an endless game of leapfrog. If someone dies as a result of their hacking, a lot of factors would determine their punishment.

   Was it murder? Manslaughter? Negligent homicide? Reckless endangerment?

   Did they know someone would or could die? Was that their intent, or did they just want to shut your lights off?

   People could die if your electricity is cut off for non-payment, or if a neighbor's tree fell on your wires. There is no clear-cut answer.

   One thing is sure. You don't need to give the idiots any ideas.
